01The Problem

Traditional CCTV needs continuous power, blind spots are everywhere, and conventional surveillance drones drain batteries fast — they're useless when you need them most.

What if a drone could stay idle and weather-proof, charge itself in the sun, and only launch when something actually happens?

02The Approach

MCAM (Motion Camera with Autonomous Mobility) combines three ideas into one platform:

  • PIR motion detection as the always-on trigger — extremely low power, only fires when there's actual movement
  • Solar self-charging dock — drone stays parked and charging until needed, sometimes for days
  • Autonomous deployment — on trigger, drone launches, captures footage, transmits wirelessly, and returns to dock

The result: continuous monitoring of a wide area, with the drone only flying when something is worth recording.

03Use Cases

  • Border security — patrolling fences over kilometers with minimal infrastructure
  • Agricultural protection — protecting crops from wild animals at night without false alarms
  • Industrial perimeter — securing factories and warehouses after-hours
  • Smart homes — bigger properties where standard cameras can't cover everything
